Like a Song: Hawkmoon 269

(1/1)

Ultraviolet [ACAAs Polisher of Shiny PopMart Basses]:
Wow. What an incredible column! I love reading about how the music of this band can completely change lives... It's astounding to me, which is why I so enjoy Like a Song every month.

I recently got into Rattle & Hum, and I was stunned by the power in Hawkmoon 269. (I'm naming my bass guitar after it, actually.  ;D )

Thank you for sharing your story, Hawkmoon2e... It's inspiring.  :)

rattle and hum:
I agree, it was a very well done and moving piece. Reading the like a song essays always makes my day. It's amazing to see how different people have different perspectives on what a song means. It's also awesome to see how personal experience makes you look at a song in a way you might never have imagined before.

zooey:
Beautiful story, Hawk. Thanks for sharing it with us.  I love the line about Larry playing for the Almight himself.  I've always been driven by that drum beat.

Alton Dalton:
Agreed and seconded.  8) Well done, Mister.

fresno dave:
