They also played Whir. I mean if someone said they would play a 22 year old B side with a member who hasn't played with them in 16 years I would the chances of that would be oh, 1 in about 10,000.

Au contraire, as their Oceania album was actually pretty damn fantastic.

Haven't heard much of their more recent stuff but I adored them back in the 90's. Siamese Dream will always be my favourite album of theirs. Just how brilliant are Cherub Rock and Today?  Adore and Mellon Collie are also great albums. I'll have to check out their newer stuff.

trust me, you only need to hear Oceania and if you're curious, the Teargarden By Kaleidoscope songs.

Hmm ok, I'll give those a listen. Is the rest of their stuff of the last decade not that good then?

Oceania
TBK
Zeitgeist/American Gothic EP <the EP has higher highs than Z does>
Monuments To An Elegy <this is the worst thing he's done, it's a super short, very pop sounding album, not his style at all>

Oceania is the only must hear, imo.

and he's got another solo album in the works, a new band, and maybe a reunion line-up, sans D'arcy, i'd assume...
