I'm not spending ten bucks I don't have!
I was listening to R&H just today... anyone else REALLY like Hawkmoon 269? I don't know what it is about that song, but I love it so much...
Hey EC, yeah, Hawkmoon is a great one... in a sense (off the top of my head), I feel like it is a good precursor to AB album b/c one finds some similar themes-- night, darkness, confusion, pain, longing, knowing you're messed up:
Like coming home and you don't know where you've been.... When the night has no end, and the day yet to begin, As the room spins around, I need your love.
The opening lines set it off-- let you know where they're at right off the bat-- "Like a desert needs rain/ like a town needs a name/ I need your love.... And like so many U2 songs, it could be speaking on a human level--needing to be needed, a friend, a lover or it could be speaking on a spiritual level.
"Good stuff Maynard!"
