Hawkmoon is on Pandora now. I am blaring it in my cube. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

And the room spins around. . .

Never understood why Rattle & Hum got trashed by the critics. It is great. Has several underrated songs on it (Hawkmoon is fantastic) and some great live stuff.

Much better than NLOTH, imo.

Roger Ebert said it was like U2 had just discovered blues and thought he should introduce the USA to the blues since we'd probably never heard of it either. And it gets a lil cheesy. To serious. etc

That's pompous calling out pomposity if you heed Ebert.

I'm enjoying the live cut of Desire from 360 that was just released.  Finally hearing some drums with it.

The Joshua Tree & Rattle And Hum still represent my number 1 & 2 albums.  It's nice to see Rattle get some love on here for a change.
I just voted as such on a "Favorite Albums" thread. I was going to put TJT and AB......but then i thought...the whole JT and R&H time was my most fondly remembered period of my 30 year love affair with the band.
AB kinda ties in with the worst period of my life, but i still love the album, which is true for ALL u2 albums

I can relate.  I find it difficult to judge a U2 album without taking into account where I was emotionally at the time of its release.

The Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum are still my top 2.
