All I Want Is You is your *gasp* LEAST FAVORITE???!!!!
 >:(
And, just to say, i really like All Along The Watchtower.

I just think AIWIY is not that romantic. I think it's actually kind-of insulting to the person he is singing to. Sure, he repeats that all he wants is you and that's awesome, but the verses really seem to say that the other person is too demanding of him and that what she does offer him isn't wanted or needed.

I like Dylan's Watchtower better, but I think he does Helter Skelter better than the Beatles. To each their own.

Not that romantic? I think it is... especially "You say you'll give me a highway with no one on it..." Dont ask why that line sounds romantic to me but it does. I see your point about what she offers isn't needed of wanted, but I got the feeling that her feelings wouldn't be too hurt because all he wants is her... ? It's a beautiful song with one of my favorite guitar solos in it, and the lyrics are great, so I love it.

Yah, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who feels that way about the song and I should get over it.  :)

My least favorite on the album are All Along the Watchtower (although I liked it a lot more in the movie, especially when you see how they worked it out in literally five minutes and the whole "Rock and Roll stops the traffic bit) and Love Rescue Me.  :P

I LOVE Helter Skelter (best cover!) Desire, Van Diemen's Land, All I Want Is You and Angel or Harlem  :)

Hmm. I guess All Along The Watchtower just isn't very popular?

The thing is, I absolutely love the Hendrix version. It doesn't get any better than that. The Bob Dylan original version is awful. Mainly because I can't stand that man's vocals  :P I give him a lot of credit in songwriting and as a lyricist, but singing....sorry  :D

I think I'm not a fan of U2's AATW mainly because Hendrix's version is spectacular. Other than that, I would probably like it a lot more.
