I thought the final show of the Vertigo tour in Honolulu was something special.

Best one I saw: Detroit, night 2 of Vertigo. Best show I've ever seen, period.

Otherwise, in no particular order:

Osaka, December 1989
Milan, 2005
Santiago, 1998
last night in Montreal, May 2001
Notre Dame, October 2001 (kinda ramshackle show, but crazy energy)
Leeds, 1997
night 1 in Mexico City, 2011
Buenos Aires, 2011
Saratoga, 1992

...well, of the various boots I've listened to/seen, those are the first that came to mind.

I was at the 2001 Norte Dame show.  I have seen them 12 times since Popmart, and that show stands out as the worst by far.  I felt like the energy of the band was off, Bono in particular.  The set list was very bare bones, only 19 songs, opening with Beautiful Day was not a good choice.  Apparently they agreed,  as the went back to Elevation as the opener immediately after that.  Something was just off that night, and it wasn't just me.  The NYC fire department was pretty cool.  Funny because the Elevation Columbus show is still the best U2 show I've seen.

I agree the 2nd night in Glascow was amazing, something just clicked that night, the band, the audience etc.  The venue was great, one of few that did not have seating behind the stage.

Zoo TV Earls Court London '92. First time seeing them and never topped. I'm sure that the tour and band in their peak had something to do with it. Zooropa '93 was great, but never matched the energy of the indoor leg.

I preferred PopMart to Zooropa as a spectacle

Lexington, Kentucky, 2001 Elevation Tour for me. I was in the heart. Setlist included the Bad/40/Streets pack. It was incredible; best show I have ever seen in my life.

I was there also. Great show! The train was not working to the venue. Mad dash for taxi's. Everyone around the main train station shared taxi's and filled them to the maximum so all could get there. What a bunch of great fans!

And, I loved how they projected larry's shadow on the wall behind him while he was playing. Great 'special' effect. It was a magical show.

The first time I saw them front row was the best show I've ever seen to date. It was the last Boston show of the Vertigo Tour. I was dead tired from waiting and walking all day. I saw 2 previous Vertigo shows but nothing like this one. First time I ever heard Gloria live. Bono sang dirty water snippets and baby please come home snippets during vertigo. They also played Crumbs that night. Definitely the best show I've ever been to.

The best version of streets I've ever heard live was 360 Miami. That was pretty good.
The best version of Bad I've ever heard live was Boston 2 of I+E tour
