Showing my age a bit here but anyone else remember the car case in Miami Vice to Wire ?

Yes! I've seen it; it's my favorite "U2 moment" in a movie or tv-series!!

Alan Partridge thinks 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' really encapsulates the frustration of a sunday.

I am wondering if anyone has A) seen Entropy and B)if it's worth trying to hunt down to watch. Also, Still Haven't Found plays at the intro of Runaway Bride, one of my movie guilty pleasures.
I really liked Entropy. It's on YT.

I remember a Who's the Boss episode where Alissa Milano was excited about a U2 concert on TV and Tony Danza was having some inane fun with the name: "What about mee too... what did I do?"  "No, U2." "Who too?"  Something like that.

I hope I'm not the only one who got this. Check out Fear for some Pepperidge Farmy Milano cookie goodness.

On ESPN's Sportsnation TV show, there are a lot of U2/Bono references since the host (Colin Cowherd) is a big U2 fan.

Yesterday he compared the Aaron Rodgers/Brett Favre and Andrew Luck/Peyton Manning situation to being the replacement while the other is still there.

Pretend Bono is leaving U2 but you're going to be the new lead singer. But for right now you're singing back to Bono until he leaves--no one wants to be the guy to replace the superstar.

It was something along the lines of that. :)

In a 30 Rock episode, Tracy Jordan says "I think Bono is in my limo right now".
In SNL, during a SpiderMan "Turn off the dark" sketch, Andy Samberg played Bono.
In The Simpsons Movie, the kid Lisa likes says:
- I'm Irish. My dad is a musician.
Lisa: -Is he..?
- No, he's not Bono.
There's also the "U2 Moving Crew" in the episode when they go to Dublin. Never noticed the motto until now, though :P

Those are the ones that I can remember now.

That image just gave me a MAJOR lol moment!

Even in animated form, Larry just doesn't smile, LOL!

I LOVE AIWIY, so am a bit leery of seeing the movie even though it looks compelling and loaded w/ big name actors. So, if I watch it, will I never be able to have the same response to AIWIY?

The movie was alright, not good, not bad :P I watched it just to see the AIWIY scene, and it was worth it. You can't listen to the song too clearly (you'll know why when you watch it) but it matches the scene perfectly.

bump.

The other night 30 Rock had a Bono reference.

Alec Baldwin's character is at the UN talking to the Transelvanian ambassador. Alec says something like "admit you hate when Bono comes around." and the Ambassador replies "Bono always claims he's not hungry when we are collecting money for pizza and then he eats like three slices."

Haha, dumb, I know, but that show loves its Bono bashing  :D

OK that is funny. ^

The new show Smash had a Spiderman reference on Monday night. They mentioned that the critics tore the show apart before it even opened, "before they started maiming everyone."
