U2gigs.com has a pretty cool tool that tracks the stats from every show you went to

Shows by tour

Vertigo Tour (36)

360 Tour (33)

Joshua Tree Tour (11)

ZOO TV Tour (10)

Elevation Tour (4)

Conspiracy Of Hope (1)

Unforgettable Fire Tour (1)

No Line On The Horizon Promo Tour (1)

PopMart Tour (1)

+ a few promo shows (Super Bowl / Saints game w/ Green day etc)

How does one possibly attend so many shows in a single tour? Do you not have a job? I would think most people couldn't afford to chase a band around the country/continent for so many shows.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Droo. Also, if there is a job where you can chase a band around the country/continent, where do I apply for it???

People make the time and find the money for their passions. :)

Ideally perhaps, but the realities of living usually restrain a person.

I have a passion for recording music, but at present cannot afford to do so as much as I would want, for example.

I have a passion for writing... But I need to buy groceries and pay a mortgage so I work in IT as a software tester... And that only gives me 25 days of vacation/sick time to work with... ;)

We all have passions that we pursue. Daily needs come first though, especially if we are taking care of more people than ourselves.

Employed people, maybe. Those of us on disability or unemployment can only dream. That said, I'm somehow getting to 4 shows this summer. Somehow...They say walking is good exercise, right? ;D

But you see, birdlover, you prove my point; despite being on disability or unemployment, you found the money for your passion. ;)

Yeah, i know. I had (he passed away about ten years ago) a cousin in Adelaide so i traveled to Australia to visit him. I didn't know about the U2 concert there, but he knew that they are my favorite band so he brought tickets and suprised me. It's like the best show i have ever attended.
