I vote for the James Joyce Pub!  It looks very Pub-ish to me.  Also, we can just park at the Inner Harbor and walk.  (We can also do that with Tir Na Nog, but I went there once and didn't care much for it.  But that was later on a Saturday night and it was crazy crowded.)

I did like the idea of going to something named after James Joyce.

The English major in me did dork out a bit when I saw that!

The first time I tried to read Finnegans Wake I was 16.  It didn't work out too well for me.  Then I had a prof that spent so long yammering on about the phrase "commodius vicus of recirculation" we barely got to discuss the rest of the book.   I think I need to give it one more go without being   a) a teenager  b) forced to listen to some tenured blowhard about how he "understands fundamentally" what Joyce was saying.

Will we meet there?

In college we had a Friday Night Finnegan's Wake party where we took turns reading it out loud. We were soooo coooool!

Don't be. I went to St Johns. We actually thought we understood the book.

I went to University of Delaware.  So even if we had done something like that, we would have turned it into a drinking game.

I definitely vote for the James Joyce Pub, but was wondering if we should pick up our tickets first?  We could either meet at the Science Center and walk over to the pub.  Or everyone can get their ticket whenever and we'll pick a time to meet at the pub.

I agree getting tickets in advance is just one less thing to worry about. I would suggests letting everyone be responsible for getting their own tickets.

You can get tickets online, here is the link

I have seen U23D many times and it was never sold out-- I can't figure that one out. . . ;)

James Joyce it is, what time. Maybe meet at 5 or 5:30 eat and then walk over to the Science Center around 7? Showtime is 7:30. I am one of those people who likes to be there early.
