My daughter and I were just in NYC for college visits before Thanksgiving. On the first day, when we were done in the mid afternoon, we were trying to decide what to do. I suggested we could always go to Central Park and have a stroll around. She immediately knew why! lol!!

I have tomorrow off. I have to do some laundry but after that guess where I'm going!

Any luck? I know you will see him if you go often. You'll likely see Ali too. And, just think how much more exercise you'll be getting in! :)

Exercise is no problem, I swear I hav walked every inch of Long Island! Unfortunately, the only time I've gotten to the park was was when a friend and I went to The Dakota and Strawberry Fields on the anniversary of Lennon's death. Standing on that sidewalk was surreal.

All I could do was stand there thinking "He died right here."  It was so odd to see people standing in front of the entrance smiling and waving for pictures like they were at Disneyland. It was better in the park where people gathered to sing Beatles songs and place candles and flowers.

I walked past The Dakota last year when I was in NY for the U2 show. Thankfully I didn't see anyone stopping for photos, it just seemed a normal building on any street. I loved Strawberry Fields. The park was extra special, very serene and a much more fitting place for people to stop and think about him.

I'm sure Bono has been by there before and felt the eery chill too.
Dont you think Bono looks like Lennon sometimes in his camofloge
outfits, when his hair was longer I guess. I know he loved him, he
said he grew up with the Beatles like everyone our age..
