Not all of them!! The Paisley-ites would disagree with ya!!

Least not we forget where the name Scotland came from! The Scots - a clan from around the Belfast area! I think hundreds of years ago the western part of Scotland was under Irish rule

But yeh -the Stunning - great band!!

Isn't Snow Patrol Irish?

Irish and great

Did I miss Ireland's annexation of Scotland ?

Or the United Kingdom relinquishing Northern Ireland ?

I'm from Northern Ireland, born here and lived here all my life, and i'm Irish. I'm sure your aware that people from Northern Ireland can hold both an Irish passport and a British passport? Some people see it as having the best of both worlds!
So yeah.... I thinks its fair game to call Snow Patrol, Ash, Two Door Cinema Club etc.... Irish!  :)

u are wrong as an irish person i can tell you.. i myself have often heard paisley refer to himself as being irish as all unionists do in fact if you said they were less irish because they are subjects of the queen they would take it as an insult as would a scottish or welsh person.. so getting back to main subject any singer or band from northern ireland would see themselves as irish

not really he would see himself as both  you seem to think you have to be either irish or british but thats not the case

nope. I don't, but a person like Paisley would see himself as being British, as Gerry Adams as being irish regardless of birth place. I could claim a British passport but don't. I consider myself irish as that's where Ive lived most of my life!

Anyhows, we've gone way off the point!!

Listening to Ash always reminds me of Popmart.
They were the support act for the two Dublin shows, and 'Oh Yeah' always takes me back to Dublin in 1997.
