I am listening to Bigmouth Strikes Again by The Smiths on replay. Sometimes this happens; I get obsessed about *something* in a song, even if I have heard the song a bazillion times before. It happens with Edge's guitar solo in The Fly, the version of Love is Blindness from Zoo TV Sydney, the refrain on Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own, and many other songs, all the time. I usually listen to music with my massive ear-phones on for a few reasons: 1) Nobody wants to hear my music as loud as I do 2) I don't want anyone to laugh at me when I listen to a song over and over and over and over and... 3) Sometimes I just want to hear little parts of songs such a a bit of vocals, a specific lyric, an interesting part of music, etc. I have a really large collection of music, and I know it drives other people crazy when I get too excited about something else, to listen to a song to completion. I have one friend in particular, who I will hang out with just to listen to music- he is one of the only people I know who has similar music listening issues. We are both like "let's listen to that again" or "did you hear that little guitar bit or musical construction? Brilliant!" Oh yeah, if you want a song that deserves multiple listens: God Only Knows, from the Beach Boys Pet Sounds Album.
