EVEN Skyfall?

I would have thought you all of people would be all over a mainstream movie as entertaining as Skyfall was.

No, I loved Skyfall! It's just that action flicks usually don't get as high of reviews as Oscar contenders.

Oh! Good to know! I loved Skyfall, too. It's a moment of rare synergy for us. ;)

The Lord of the Rings movies are movies about people walking. Boring!

The Lord of the Rings movies are about the friendship & love that exists & grows between different people from different cultures who volunteer to fight one evil together--- and the most powerful among them is a woman  :D Tolkien was ahead of his time.

Skyfall was terrific! I'd give an Oscar nod to Bardem and the Art Direction/Cinematography, especially for the first half.

The Hobbit and Les Miserables will hopefully be my favorites once they are released.

AP-The nod for sure, but The Hobbit might reign supreme.

So Cruel & Starman - LOTR? Incomprehensible!!  :'(

Agreed AliSPNfan - but who is your heroine? Arwen or Eowyn?

I love a good meandering walk. Perhaps that's why I liked the movies (and books). Hehe.

Skyfall was brilliant and was definitely worth the wait. Now onward to The Hobbit!

This one looks very good. I saw the preview before Skyfall. I didn't look to see when it came out. Better go get some more wholesale club discount vouchers for the movie theaters! Stocking Stuffers!  :)

...are you sure you know how the Oscars work? When Return of the King won, it was an anomaly. The Oscars reward big ensemble casts with high-pedigree, typically historical of some sort, it's generally a happy underdog story, and Les Miz and Lincoln are the big two there.

Hobbit isn't even going to be as good as the already overrated LOTR. It may get the nod, but there's absolutely no way it will win. Even Django Unchained has a higher chance, despite its gore.

Zero Dark Thirty (A Documanetary about the 10 yr mission to find Osama Bin Laden)

ZDT is not a dcumentary. It's an action movie directed by Kathryn Bigelow and starring Jessica Chastain, and Chris Pratt.
