The cast is really good. It's sad that so many people think of Robert Pattingson (or whatever his name is) as the guy from Twilight instead of as Cedric Diggory from HP.

The best fans though know him as Harry Potter.  ;)

I don't know what to do my two favorite obsessions!  Harry Potter and U2!!!!

I loved the last book, I liked how she tied everything up.  Although it was sad in many places and I cried the most while reading that book.

Snape is my Favorite  I like the underdog, and I felt for how he carried a torch for Lily all thru the years.

I can relate to Harry (other than being the most famous wizard of course) we both share a birthday in July, we are both orphans (of course I was an orphan at 30 that is about the time the second book appeared) questioning who he was and where he came from in regards to his parents (my dad left us when I was 7, so I always wondered what traits of his I have) and some other things I can't think of now at 2am.

I was a bit miffed that they pushed the movie from Nov til next July, but I can't wait to see it.

I would have to say book 5 was my least fav, only because I had trouble visualizing some of it. The movie helped a bit for that for me.

YAY FOR SNAPE! He's definately my favorite, I like how the whole time he was really standing up for Harry.

I loved the books - read them to my son at bedtime, until he was old enough to read them for himself (I think Book 5).  My fave has always been Neville Longbottom.

The casting for the movies has been amazing.  I love Gary Oldman and think he made a great Sirius Black.  It's been cool to see the kids grow up.

Snape, Fred, and Bellatrix are defiantly my favorite characters. Snape probably tops the list though. GO SNAPE!

I like Sirius the best. It was so sad in #5 when he died. Then Harry loses Lupin in #7. Tragic.

JK Rowling should have saved the best characters and killed off bad characters like Harry. Sorry but Harry annoys me.

Jeez, he died once. Why another time?  ;)

Eh, Harry is fine in books, but I don't like how Radcliffe portrays him in the movies. Too wimpy.

Harry is a selfish jerk who is paranoid and has PTSS with anger management problems. He needs therapy.

I have enjoyed them all in both formats.  3 was my favorite movie (Cuaron was amazing as a director), but I thought 5 also did a good job.  We knew they would leave out a lot, but they did some great things with what they left in.  Dumbledore vs. Voldemort at the end was better than the book (and I rarely say that).  In terms of books, 4 and 6 stood out for me, but they are all great.

My youngest is midway through 4 (I'm reading it to her), with the goal of being through 6 before the movie this summer.

My absolute favorite book is Prisoner of Azkaban, because, like someone else said, of the mystery plotting and also because of the Marauders' backstory. My favorite character is Sirius, and I also like Lupin and Harry.

I like the movies a little, but I think they pale by far in comparison with the books. 5 was my fave movie because I actually thought they did a really good job of paring down the story, but 4 was absolutely horrible (except for David Tennant, but that's a whole 'nother thread).

When it came out I was going to a friend's birthday party but brought it anyways. Almost everyone else had it too.
