^ Yeah I would agree with that. It doesn't erupt in your face like some songs do, it just oozes out in to the final part of the song and that is another reason why I love this song so much.

Yup.  Many U2 songs have that type of climax.  One has it ("love is a temple" verse), Walk On has it ("all that you fashion" verse), Magnificent has it (repetition of the chorus at the end), I can go on and on.  Just because it isnt a prototypical climax a la With or Without You or City of Blinding Lights doesnt mean its not a climax

the best climax in recent U2 memory is easily SYCMIOYO the "can....you..hear......me..when.....i .....SINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG" part. YES!

For once I agree with DesertSky. :P :)

DISAGREE.  We agreed on Miami and ABOY being the worst from their respecitve albums.

I'm gonna bring this topic back from the dead and I know this has been debated forever but a few more opinions can't hurt us can it?  ;)

5. All That You Can't Leave Behind

1. All That You Can't Leave Behind
2. Achtung Baby
3. No Line on the Horizon
4. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
5. The Joshua Tree
6. Pop
7. Boy
8. Zooropa
9. Rattle and Hum
10. The Unforgettable Fire
11. War
12. October

Some minor changes from last year's rankings:

1. All That You Can't Leave Behind (same)
2. Achtung Baby (same)
3. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (+1)
4. The Joshua Tree (+1)
5. No Line On The Horizon (-2)
6. Zooropa (+2)
7. Pop (-1)
8. The Unforgettable Fire (+2)
9. Rattle And Hum (same)
10. October (+2)
11. Boy (-4)
12. War (-1)

October escaped the cellar because I have REALLY gotten into Scarlet, especially after seeing it live.  Boy fell because I haven't listened to it at all besides I Will Follow and Out of Control really.  I've been big into The Unforgettable Fire's album tracks lately and I've fallen in love with Zooropa the song and the album over the last few months

Have I already ranked? I can't remember and am too lazy to check; besides, it's probably changed a bit if I have! And yes, I'm in the camp that counts OS1 as a U2 album.

1. Achtung Baby
2. Zooropa
3. No Line on the Horizon
4. Original Soundtracks 1
5. The Unforgettable Fire
6. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
7. The Joshua Tree
8. Pop
9. All That You Can't Leave Behind
10. War
11. Rattle and Hum
12. Boy
13. October

I'm not ranking based on contents, but on how the album stands as a cohesive whole (which is basically what determines my preference anyways). Hence why I feel that while the individual tracks on The Joshua Tree are pound-for-pound stronger than the songs on Zooropa, adding it all together into a unit I feel that Zooropa is the stronger narrative and is thus placed higher.
