you guys should stop hating on Teardrop.  ::)

it's easily the most epic song Coldplay has put out, and has the potential to ROCK arenas. they needed a song like that! :)

I didn't need a song like that. I reckon just about everything off their first three albums is more epic than Teardrop.

Yes. There is nothing at all "epic" <LOL!> about Teardrops.

Well, Coldplay obviously feel confident enough to play it as their last song at festivals  ;)

I didn't like it at first, especially as they stole the intro from another song but I like it now
especially the riff that Johnny plays.

Love Coldplay - Parachutes, Rush of Blood and Viva are brilliant albums - but chalk me up as another person who can't stand Teardrop; it's ridiculously cheesy, even for Coldplay (which is *really* saying something) and kinda dull. Plus the title of the song makes me gag.

Still looking forward to the new album though.

also, hasn't Chris said the album name starts with an M AND have 2 words?

I can't remember where I saw that
Coldplay released a song called "Major Minus", and since Chris said that, people believed that would be the albums name.

But he also mentioned that the album title would have two words, first one beginning with M, and it would be hard to spell...

Doesn't make it "epic" at all. People just throw that word around way to much. Just cause you like it, doesn't make it "SO EPIC!!!"

its not "epic" just because I like it! The Scientist isn't epic, but its probably my favorite Coldplay song.

this one is a pump-up song, you can fist-pump to it, it has an intense ending, and who cares if the name is stupid? if the name meant the song was stupid, then The Smiths would be the worst band alive.  ::)

trust me. I didn't like it at first either. go running and listen to it. YOU WILL FEEL IGNITED.  :)

Teardrop ignites nothing. Give me Green Eyes or Daylight over that any day.  ;D

Green Eyes is nice, but not igniting. you can't get excited by that!  ::) Daylight's a good one though.  :)

you know what? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that...whatever this new album is, it will be Coldplay's best. the 3 new songs are all mindblowing.

it may be their Achtung Baby.

I don't think we've really had their Joshua Tree, just one or two Unforgettable Fires! I'm certainly not going to write Coldplay off but it will have to be a lot better than what I'm hearing if it's going to beat Rush Of Blood....

I'm looking forward to the new album. Viva La Vida was stellar and finally saw the band branching out and taking some chances. I like what I've heard from the new album so far and it sounds like they're moving forward and trying new things.

Teardrop has grown on me, the other two are good as well. I'm looking forward to it, although I'm never looking forward to Coldplay's song titles or lyrics. "I'd rather be a comma than a full stop"? C'mon man how much do they pay you
