I forgot that I was the only one on this forum who liked simple lyrics  ::)

Not every line in every song has to be a prophecy or a complex metaphor.

Listen to Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.

Simple lyrics, but the delivery of them, and how Trent's voice cracks and breaks makes the song one of the best they have made, and many other have.

You mean Johnny Cash, right?

*facepalm*

*shake my head*

Oh AP.

....I'm just going to wait and see how many people didn't realize I was joking.

I do hate how poorly sarcasm works over the internet.  ;)

Yes, I knew it. I just find it funny how it seems like you guys are the only ones who still think of Hurt as a NIN song and not a Johnny Cash song, seeing as he kinda stole it.

It is a NIN song. Cash covered it. :P

Btw, Coldplay got a few Grammy nominations. I forget what exactly.

Mylo Xyloto was nominated for Best Rock Album.  It will be up against El Camino by The Black Keys, The 2nd Law by Muse, Wrecking Ball by Bruce Springsteen and Blunderbuss by Jack White

Coldplay was nominated for Best Rock Performance.  It will be up against I Will Wait by Mumford And Sons, Hold On by Alabama Shakes, Lonely Boy by The Black Keys and We Take Care Of Our Own by Bruce Springsteen.

GO MYLO XYLOTO!

GO CHARLIE BROWN!

Blunderbuss, El Camino, 2nd Law, Wrecking Ball.......... Daylight........ Mylo and Otisxolalatl

Blunderbuss is my favourite album of 2012.

Lonely Boy kicks all the others to the curb in the best rock performance.

Ha. But his voices makes me want to bang my head against the wall. He sounds so whiny.

I used to think the same, but liked his songs as The Raconteurs and that made me give him another listen. I do like some of his stuff, but I can see your point. Of his newer stuff, Freedom at 21 is very addictive like 7 Nation Army.

A much more annoying vocal is Adam Levine and even he had one halfway decent song last night on the Grammy Noms show.

:'(  I'm not a huge fan, but I like Jack White.

I say Bruce should win everything he's nominated for and more. Or The Black Keys. Or Jack White.

I also hate his voice and think he's extremely overrated as a musician as well.

I'd liken his voice more to that of a sick cat in pain though.
