Even Better is definitely all about sex then. I KNEW IT. Surprised it wasn't mentioned in @U2's list of sexiest U2 songs.

Or the live change in Desire

"And the fever, when I'm inside her... DESI-I-I-I-IRE"

Oh. What's the original line then?!   :D :D :D

Then there's that live change to I Will Follow...   ::) ::)

And the fever, getting higher
or, the fever when I'm beside her

MOD MOD....UNDER-AGE PARTICIPANT IN THIS THREAD!!! :D :D

Hahahahaaaa. I don't think she can be "saved" anymore...   :D :D :D
It's kind of depressing that I understand almost all these sex references.

I'm pretty sure we old folks would have gotten most of them at your age, too - school buses and middle/high school cafeterias have been around for a long time.

U2 is not really known for their subtlety.

There are several references to (oral) sex on Achtung Baby:

"going down on me" - UTEOTW and "you can swallow or you can spit" - Acrobat, "leave a bad taste in your mouth" - One.

Are there any other sexual references in U2 songs? Or are they all on this album?

Don't forget, "who's gonna taste your salt water kisses?" on Wild Horses.

I think that is a tears reference and not a reference to...some other liquid.

I actually got the "salt water kisses" analysis from a review/analysis of AB years back , but can't remember which magazine.

Didn't Bono say in an interview somewhere that EBTTRT is supposed to be about a one night stand?  Or did I make that up?

The lyrics are pretty clear about that, so you're not making it up.

There are as many sexual references in U2 songs as there are religious references. With U2 they are interchangeable.

There's a lot of truth to this.

Totally. Take "Your love is teaching me how to kneel" from Vertigo, for example. :D

Forgive me if this one's been said, but I doubt it:

"When hardness, it sets in,
You need some protection, the thinner the skin."

HAHAHAHA!!
