I love that song because he's loved Ali since she was a little girl and now its been so long and its still there.
Very romantic...love it, thanks Bels for putting these beautiful lyrics up....

'i'll be home, love....... :) :) :)

As a psych student I can tell you that Freud would have a field day with those lyrics.  ;)

:DDD that reminds me, I've never been able to understand why in all of those classic rock songs the guys sing 'baby' or 'little girl' or 'sweet child'. Isn't that... illegal? xD

There's some Led Zeppelin song where Robert Plant sings "she's three years old, and that's a real great place to start"... I'm sure the singer for Led Zeppelin could find someone his own age.

And no one blinks twice at Freddy Mercury's Fat Bottom Girls when his nanny takes advantageof his youth.

Are you gonna take me home tonight?
Oh, down beside that red firelight;
Are you gonna let it all hang out?
Fat bottomed girls,
You make the rockin' world go round.

Hey
I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad,
But I knew life before I left my nursery,
Left alone with big fat Fanny,
She was such a naughty nanny!
Hey big woman you made a bad boy out of me!
Hey hey!

I've been singing with my band
Across the water, across the land,
I seen ev'ry blue eyed floozy on the way, hey
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while.
Take me to them lardy ladies every time!

(C'mon)
Oh won't you take me home tonight?
Oh down beside your red firelight,
Oh and you give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round

Hey listen here,
Now I got mortgages on homes
I got stiffness in my bones
Ain't no beauty queens in this locality. (I tell ya!)
Oh, but I still get my pleasure
Still got my greatest treasure.
Heap big woman you done made a big man of me!
Now get this!

Oh, (i know) you gonna take me home tonight (please)
Oh, down beside that red firelight
Oh, you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round
GET ON YOUR BIKES AND RIDE!

Oooh yeah oh yeah them fat bottomed girls
Fat bottomed girls
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right
ride 'em cowboy
Fat bottomed girls

WOW thanks, I never noticed that part of the song before. Freddie, you owe us an explanation  ???

Add Freddie's real preferences to it and you really have to wonder.

And let's not forget Maggie Mae. . . . at least U2 class it up a bit.

Say goodnight
She waits for me to put out the light
And when I'm still
She waits to break my will
Yes, and I know the truth about you-
She-cat.
And in the daylight
A blackbird makes a violent sight
And when she is done
She sleeps beside the one
Yes, and I know the truth about you-
She-cat.

Now this one's only my interpretation...

Bright morning lights
Wipe the sleep from another day's eye
Turn away from the wall and there's nothing at all
Being naked and afraid
In the open space of my bed
I'll be with you now
I'll be with you now
We lie on a cloud
We lie
Just as I am
I awaoke with a tear on my tongue
I awaoke with a feeling of never before
In my sleep I discover the one
But she ran with the morning sun
I'll be with you now
I'll be with you now
We lie on a cloud
Another time, another place
We lie
Your time, your place.

Not to be graphic, (and since i'm new here i don't know if it's cliche) but i'm surprised nobody's brought up the ending of "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" yet.
I mean, MY GOD. I blush just thinking about it  ::)
hahahaha. great song, the ending sortof tops it off.

"I'm waiting on the waiter, he's taking a while to come
Watching the sun go down on Lebanon."

"Now I've a head like a lit cigarette."

I don't know if I'm just being naive, but I don't get the 'lit cigarette' as a sexual reference :(
