I've also become quite a fan of the Celebration Day concert.  I appreciate their tactic in doing a reunion the way they did it.  Everyone gets a high quality recording of 4 guys having a fantastic time in a one off show, granted we miss out on the original drummer. I've also loved the How the West Was Won live album, and I'm curious enough to pick up the 2-disc version of I for the live recording.

Is there any video of the rehearsals included with Celebration Day?

I read an interview with JPJ a couple of years ago in which he mentioned that there were some songs fully rehearsed that they ended up not doing at the show...and one of them wa "Carouselambra."   :o

I'd give damn near anything to see that.

I think rehearsals were on the 2CD/1DVD box.

I saw them in concert, way back when.  The summer of 72.  I was fifteen and went with some of my school friends.   Yep, I am ancient.  It was my first rock concert.  They were loud, crappy venue distorted their sound.  But, Stairway was beautiful.   :)

If you don't like this you don't like Rock. All members of the band are on fire, JPJ doing simultaneous duty on bass pedals and keys and Page as always are the stars, but just a great performance of this classic. Pity it ended.

*bump*

Did "South Bound Suarez" get used in some movie/video game/TV show lately?

From about - oh, I don't know, late 1983? - through the beginning of spring of this year, I might've heard it on the radio a grand total of 5 times, tops. Then, back in late April I heard it on one of the locally-produced weekend music shows on my local public radio station. Now, the host of that show is pretty excitable, so I just figured he cued up the wrong track. Well, I've heard it a couple of dozen times since on 3 or 4 local stations - and a couple of times on Sirius during the 2 months I had a free trial.

What gives?
