Does anyone know if the No Line we're getting is the normal, or more acoustic version?

Full 2009 version.

That's kinda disappointing, since that already exists on Rose Bowl and on the album. But then again I wanted Stingray to win it all....

Scarlet is no longer in last place!

Angel Of Harlem is.

The top 22 are exactly the same as before. The album is decided, I think.

Given how small the margins are, it's possible we'll see some changes with Walk On / Go Crazy / 40 / Elevation but that's about it, I'd imagine.

If Elevation squeaks on I will be furious.

I'm not exactly dying for it, but I'll take it over a live version of Crazy identical to one that has been released twice, or a poor version of '40'.

There is no poor version of 40 on that list.

I'll give you that it's no Red Rocks 40. But it's not like that version sucked or anything.

"40" was never a true U2 song to me. Bono adapted the lyrics and Adam wasn't even there. I like it in small doses, but surely we have enough live versions already.

Just like MLK or Van Diemen's Land, if you follow your definition of a true U2 song.

But I do tend to agree with that.

Cheers,

But even if you think that (And I don't agree), why would we want this when we *do* have Red Rocks 40?

I dont care about YOU. :P I want to hear it cuz I was in Moncton and the bootleg is okay, but the sound quality of it is lacking. :)

I kid, of course, about not caring about you. :)

It was just a magic emotional moment for me in Moncton. I guess I'm just kind of stuck on that.

I just got an email saying as an old subscriber, I was eligible for a $40 reduced re-subscription. :D

Maybe the performance/audience reaction of it was lacking. :P :)

Anyway, I'm debating resubscribing. I mean, I went to two gigs and really don't care if my shows are represented...I just want the best possible songs/performances to end up on the CD...maybe even ones I never got to experience, just so I could hear them, if not live. I like the current selection quite a bit, although I wish MOD had ended up on it. (I think a live cut of it would be nice.)

Nope. It's the bootleg taper quality. It's quiet. There's nothing wrong with instruments in the Moncton bootleg... or the performance... But I'm spoiled cuz I was also in Denver and NAshville and I have some great quality bootlegs from there. Sound-wise. Not performance-by-the-band-wise.
