The "Bono's hair" thread
« on: January 06, 2012, 11:59:46 AM »
Short and simple, I don't like Bono with long hair, especially when he's older. I liked PopMart the best, and 360 tour second, but couldn't stand Vertigo, it put a dent on the Chicago DVD.

I like it on the 2nd leg of the 360 tour, not too short or long, but I have to disagree I did like it on the Vertigo tour, and very hot in the Zoo Tv Tour, hell I love Bono 8)

I fully expected this to be a photo-dominated thread  ;D

I wasn't a big fan of the Vertigo hair either. It made him look older than necessary.  This is the most flattering picture I've seen of Vertigo hair, but I think it's all in the head tilt.

This is weird, but Bono's adventures in hair kind of remind me of Arnold Schwarzenegger's.  I'd have to dig for pictures, but both Bono and Arnold have experienced times of puffy fro-ness, long lankiness, dyed darkness, and dyed lightness.  Arnold's got more than a decade on Bono, and he's not looking too graceful in the light browns he's using these days.  I'm glad Bono has gone a littler darker lately.

I thought his hair was pretty sweet during the HTDAAB/Vertigo Tour era. However, for his age now I think the shorter hair works a lot better.

I'd have to agree that his Vertigo hair was bad, but I also hated his POP buzz cut *ducks*. (I hate all buzz cuts.) His best hair for me was JT/R&H (WOWY video hooked me), The Fly (addicted me), early Elevation, and his current look is working for me too.

Isn't there a thread like this already that was started a while ago?  I love the Elevation hair and the Vertigo hair.  He's looking pretty good now as well.  I absolutely hate the Pop hair.

I actually dislike his hair style right now. Keeping it short is ok, but combing it that way makes him look like someone an old man trying to look young (glasses don't help either :P).

I liked the Elevation hairstyle the best. Suited him better IMO.

Agreed. Not-so-young guys can look great in longish hair if they do it right...

His best hair was obviously the long, brown JT hair. Because I just wanted to pet it. So handsome. Second would be the Zoo TV hair because it's dyed black and I have a thing for guys with black hair. I also love Elevation- it looked fluffy! Bono's hair also looks kinda fluffy now. I like it now too. :)

I actually like it when he grows his hair out. Granted though, there were some snapshots of him from the Vertigo tour that the hair was unflattering, but I was ok with it. I LOVE the way his hair looked during the JT era. Pop era, not so much.

Nope, you're not! :) I thought Bono had the best mullet EVER.
It was perfect for its time.
