Acts that I believe will tour in 2012 but don't have a confirmed date for that I would love to see:

Bruce Springsteen
The Killers
Def Leppard
Van Halen (not close enough yet but might add a date)
Adele
The Rolling Stones
The Beach Boys (for the right price)
CCR (John talked about possibly reuniting the guys for a tour)

 >:( no dates close enough to me

My husband was on the fence about Bruce, but I thought I might have my father-in-law on board.  Tickets are on sale this Friday, so I was pumped!  Then it turned out that the show near us is on a Thursday...no problem, right?  Both my concert dates dumped me (even though father-in-law is retired)!  Sheesh!  One groggy Friday with the whole weekend to recover doesn't seem so bad!

So Miami, if you'd like to fly to LA in April, the Boss is playing a nice little venue on the 26th  ;)

If only!  "A nice little arena" would have been a better description.  And frankly, "a little worn down  arena in a scary part of town" would have been the best description.  After a stadium show, everything's a little venue  ;D

Going to see New Order in March but unsure of what they'll be like without Peter Hook.

Biggest hope for the year is that The Airborne Toxic Event will get themselves down here for a few gigs.

As thing stands (still waiting on word of Radiohead, Stone Roses and The Boss gigs) i am currently weighing up going to see Ryan Adams in Glasgow. The following week, James are (allegedly) headlining a wee charity festival a few hours from me, and i really want to go to that, but only IF it is confirmed on their website. Been waiting weeks and there no conformation, but their is for other dates they are playing

If you're on the East Coast of the United States, Metallica is hosting a 2-day fest in Atlantic City. They will be playing both noghts. They will perform the Black Album in its entirety on one night and Ride The Lightning on the other.

There are actually very few other metal bands on the bill; Arctic Monkeys, The Gaslight Anthem and Modest Mouse are some of the bands announced so far.

the lineup's worth a look - more details here:   http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=169380

Saw the Airborne Toxic Event on Maui last month. They were pretty awesome.
