I saw Paul McCartney on Sunday night in St. Louis.  He was absolutely brilliant, and I can honestly say it was the best concert I ever attended.

I saw Paul McCartney several years ago (1992, maybe?). It was amazing!!!

Did he have to leave the stage several times to take a pee?

That's what the cup on the monitors is for

I thought that's what he dissolved the denture tablets in.

Wow!  That sounds terrific!  :)

How many U2 concerts have you seen? I've not seen Sir Paul in concert, but he does give it a go on the ones I've seen video of. Still, I can't imagine him being better than U2.  :-\

I've been to 9 U2 concerts.  For me, it was better...The Beatles are my favourite band, so that probably helps.

WALK THE MOON on Friday.  It'll be my second time seeing them this year.  This will be my husband's first all GA standing-only show.  I don't think he'll like the side of me that emerges when it's time to hold on to my spot.  8) Those fan girls won't know what hit 'em...

Radiohead back to back on Friday and Saturday, GA one night, seats the next.

Hopefully I'll enjoy it but certainly not as pumped as I was to see them in 1998 or 2004

So I definitely could not get tickets to that KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show with Jack White, The Killers, et al.  Stubhub's already got 'em for $150.  I don't think that's going to work, especially since I won't be getting a full set out of anyone.  $150 I would pay for one of The Killers' late December Vegas gigs.  Might be able to swing that into a weekend getaway.

Also, tonight was WALK THE MOON.  Either I'm getting old or that concert skewed WAY young...like braces and unabashed profanity for the sake of hearing one's own voice.  And these kids were weirdly rude and pushy.  At one point, I step stepped aside and told this girl who was shoving me, "Go ahead little one, fling yourself forward into that mass of bodies next."  This was before anyone was even on stage!  She looked very embarrassed and apologized. The state pays me to deal with teenagers all day, I just never thought my pedagogy of sarcasm would be useful after dark.

WALK THE MOON was great.  They played 2 rarities (a b-side and something from their hard-to-find I Want! I Want! EP) as well as a new song they wrote in Europe.  They played their entire album except for the instrumental interlude.  All told, that was only about an hour and ten minutes of show time.  Of course they don't have an extensive back catalog to draw from, but I think they'll be even better in a couple of years with material under their belts.
