My eyes are glued to the stage from the moment u2 hit the stage until they leave. No way id leave my spot to go to the toilet during a u2 show

I don't know if I could say I saw people leaving for the bathroom, but I will say that my first PopMart show saw some pretty muted response for the Pop material.  Other than that, I noticed people really not into Your Blue Room and Unforgettable Fire during 360.  Even Ultraviolet seemed to confuse people.  It really seemed like the crowd adored the 00's stuff and the big hits, and was confused by anything that wasn't a radio single or from before 2000.

Not a U2 show (sadly never seen them live) but I've seen this happen at a Muse concert I was at back in 2010 and it annoyed me so much. The song was Ruled by Secrecy. It wasn't a hit single so some people didn't recognise it, I could hear a couple of mates in front of me asking what song it was as one of them went for a piss. What a shame that there are some people who would go to a concert and not appreciate every song. Just imagine, it could have easily been a die hard fan standing where they were stood. It annoys me, although that's the way it goes I suppose.

If I were at a U2 show and they played Zooropa, only for people to go to toilet or not know what song it is, I'd be mad. It's one of their best ever songs (imo).

Well, I don't know if I'd say they shouldn't be allowed to be there just because they don't know a song from one of their most obscure albums, but I think it's only polite to stay quiet and at least TRY to enjoy it.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to be there, it just annoys me a bit how there could be someone else there who would know that song and who would love that song

Sometimes, a song just doesn't connect with a person. Or perhaps a desire for a pee overrules everything. Even though I'd waited over a year for Paris, and spent a lot of money on being there, "In A Little While" means nothing to me, and I needed to go. (And I reckon, that if it hadn't been for a Ramone listening to it on his deathbed, it might not mean so much to the band).

When you're in the inner ring like I was, you don't even notice that you have to go to the bathroom at all. The thought just leaves the building once they start playing.

For me, I just went during Interpol's set. No way I'm missing a second of U2.

Stuck in a moment.

Even when I didn't need to go, I went.

XD

It seems like a waste of money to go anywhere during a concert.
Organize the P session around the gig.
Not to mention there's no way you can go pee from GA and only miss out on one song.

I can tell you from experience, the "P session" isn't easy to schedule some days, lol

I never had problems with that at big concerts, I can go without drinking for a day if I must.

Untrue. In Montreal I managed to sneak away during UTEOTW to use the bathroom and made it back to my spot in the inner ring before the end of the song.

Canadians are so polite. They just let me back in. :)

Lucky for you, but hardly of precedent value.
