4th of July is an instrumental piece named after independence day - seems pretty simple to me - I like the idea of independence day equalling freedom equalling god. But how can we tell when the song has no words?

No, we do not make such hand gestures. The culturally accepted accompaniment to 'whooooosh' is to stand on one leg and hop in a circle. It works best if you go the full 360 degrees in each direction.

We don't celebrate GREAT AMERICA INDEPENDENCE DAY, however we do celebrate Canada Day.

I object!  Some among us have been following this train (itself a satire of many other earnestly sincere--if not a little over eager--threads) successfully from the beginning.  And in all fairness, we certainly don't call it the whooooooooosnexpress over here...but then, when it comes to its passengers, they rarely know the name of the phenomenon anyway.
