Funny thing I keep reading is how U2 can't pull off the bass lines or solos. I believe they can 'cause there are hints of metal in 'Bullet the Blue Sky' and 'Hold Me Thrill Me.'

There are? :P

"Stranger in a Strange Land" - Iron Maiden. Maiden's best song, and I could see them really laying into it.

Only problem is, things would get confusing with the title.

Great song. Probably Somewhere in Time is my fav Maiden album, very underrated. I was in grade 7 when they released this album and my older brother took me to the show. 1st time of many seeing Maiden. I don't think U2 could handle this song and probably the only Maiden tune they could play would be Running Free.

I dont think we give these guys enough credit as musicians.

I think they could pull off, technically, some stuff if they had to.

But the idea is that they don't like too(specially lookin at you The Edge).

Agreed on the credit part.

that's why it would have to be SIAST; guitar synth features very prominently in that song, and Lawless could cover the synth parts on his keyboards.

Ummm.....none.

That's it indeed.

Why?

They've been an influence on rock acts like Dream Theater so they could cover something in that genre.
