Keaton was good at being a psychopathic murderer - but that isn't Batman.

explain? joker fell on his own

One of many examples

I still think Keaton did a great job though, to even consider anyone other than him or Bale is ludicrous to me. Kilmer was okay in an awful film, Clooney was awful in an awful film.

ok another example please? i remember the blowin the fat clown up but nothing else?

the worst part of Begins, to me, was Bale's "i'm not going to kill you but i won't save you" or whatever death of Ras Al Ghul. Which to me is the same as Keaton nukin the fatty

You're comparing Bats leaving Ras to his own suicide mission to needlessly blowing up a thug and smiling about it?

Okay off the top of my head there is every goon in the chemicals factory, there is all the goons on his way up to the Joker in the church at the end, there is the fat clown, there is the three guys he SETS ON FIRE at the 'heroic' beginning to Returns (awful film)

I'm not going to deny that Nolan's films don't walk the line, they do, but in the same way that the comics do, they make a point of it, it's part of the character, part of the story "I see now what I must become to stop a man like him", but in the Burton fantasy world he is a flat out murderer from the beginning, who takes great enjoyment from it, they're not Batman films, they're Tim Burton therapy sessions, writ large.

Burton's Batman films looked great, the performances were top notch and iconic, the scores were extraordinary, but the characterisation of the characters was awful - Batman (psycho murderer) Joker (killed Ma & Pa Wayne?? Screamed like a girl to his death???!!?) Selina (licked to life by cats??!!!) Penguin (raised by sewer Penguins??!?) GORDON!!!! (a bumbling idiot)

^haha yeah totally Burtonised and completely wrong characterisations. Not to say the movies weren't entertaining because they were, but Nolan has put his own interpretation forward while at the same time staying true to the characters and the stories. He is brilliant and so is Bale.

I'll say Christian Bale only because of his cool gadgets and Heath Ledger as the joker
