Who do you think you are?
Inishfree:
I am doing a family tree and have come up with some interesting info.
I have traced my great-great grandfather to Carroll Co. Maryland, born in 1818. His father was born in Ireland. He was the town's shoemaker. I find it fastinating to know that my family was here during the War of 1812. Maryland has lots of history with the Star Bangle Banner being written by Frances Scott Kay of Carroll/Frederick counties.
ryanm:
Met a distant cousin at family reunion 7 years ago who had compiled a ton of research on our family. Apparently I'm a tenth-generation American as my dad's side was traced back to dutch immigrants who settled in the Pennsylvania colony in the 1730's or 1740's. Kind of weird to realize sometimes.
HyperU2:
My dad and grandfather already have our tree finished, I haven't really taken a look at it. Basically the same story as ryamm but a few decades earlier. Swiss though, I do wonder what led them to leave Switzerland and get on a boat to who knows what way back then.
imaginary friend:
2nd-gen American; all Mexican ancestry.

Some kind of superstar.
