The gap between 1 and the rest of them isn't as wide as it used to be. Dare I say it, these newer bands are putting out more interesting material and I'm listening to them more often.

If Blur and Gorillaz both stopped I might just cry 

Honestly, if Blur quit I wouldn't be upset. Gorillaz though was just something so far out there in concept, image and execution that I would miss it. But things sometimes run their course. They left a bunch of good tunes.

What was so novel about their concept? The animated band thing? Sorry, but Prozzak beat them to it by years.

I didn't say they were innovators at it. I was just saying how they took it mainstream and also how malleable the band's lineup was. Most importantly though, I liked their music while I found Blur's...meh.
