I actually don't like the Tomb Raider remix. Am I alone?

No. I like the album cut better. I typically don't like U2's remixes. The Reznor Vertigo remix was interesting along with EBTTRT dance mix from the single B-side.
But I'm generally not a fan of their remixes. The single edits are okay and sometimes better than their album cuts, but not so much their remixes.
I have a pretty extreme view on remixes. I think if you need more than one or two mixes for a song, then it's incomplete and you need to finish it. Let the song stand on it's own. I'm not talking different arrangements. Sting does that all the time and his live arrangements are usually better than his studio cuts.
I'm just talking the boatload of remixes U2 has done in the last 15 years. It's overkill.

Vertigo. It has the line: "it's everything I wish I didn't know". Plus I just like the song.
Drooropa's comments about Let Me In the Sound made me re-think this- I really like that part of GOYB/

Vertigo has a killer riff. I'd rather listen to an Oasis song than GOYB.

I knew I recognised you from somewhere. Welcome back Virgin Prune IV

He/she has many aliases, but only one voice.

Vertigo. Its a great rock song and tremendous live.  I really like the harder rock side of U2.

I do too up to a point. But too much and it sounds derivative. I tend to like more the atmospheric Leno collaborations. And I'm sorry, but Lillywhite was right: the band needed to move on from his production post War and just keep him mixing some tracks(which he still does very well).
But his production for them, like Lenos latest, I think has come and gone.

Vertigo. Decent lyrics and just an all-around solid rock song.
Elevation's goofy fun, in a scream-the-lyrics-at-the-top-of-your-lungs-while-riding-down-the-highway type way.
GOYB album version is okay, it's not a song I hate but it's also not a song I actively seek out to listen to. It's best live.

If this were live, it'd be a whole different question... Those three songs really take off live, and I must say I have no idea who I'd vote for.

On the album, I went with Get On Your Boots... The remixes are better than for Vertigo or Elevation.

Vertigo, Elevation, Boots in that order

Vertigo and Elevation are 1 and 1a to me, both incredible.  Boots is very good too

I actually went through a phase where I preferred the album version of Elevation rather than the Tomb Raider remix. But after re-hearing the TR remix recently, I like that version a bit better than the album version.

Vertigo. Decent lyrics and just an all-around solid rock song.
Elevation's goofy fun, in a scream-the-lyrics-at-the-top-of-your-lungs-while-riding-down-the-highway type way.

Agreed. That's what I love about Elevation. And it's a great work out song.

I’ve been to u2 shows since the eighties and experienced what u2 can do. Still I was very much surprised  by Vertigo on the Vertigo tour. I remember myself standing in the Amsterdam Arena, about 10 meters from the stage, and being completely blown away by what appeared to be a storm of a song in a live setting. So: Vertigo! In fact I think Vertigo is the best Rock and Roll Song ever.
