I've always loved Elevation.

Its a great rock tune, and is just plain fun, even if I do want them to drop it now.

With the exception of the lyrics, I love the sound of all three songs. However, the lyrics for Elevation and Vertigo do nothing for me. Boots, luckily, sees Bono being much more challenging and witty, except for the rather trite chorus (why does he have such trouble writing interesting choruses?).

Edge kicks ass on all three songs . . . more of this Edge on the next album please!

I’ve been to u2 shows since the eighties and experienced what u2 can do. Still I was very much surprised  by Vertigo on the Vertigo tour. I remember myself standing in the Amsterdam Arena, about 10 meters from the stage, and being completely blown away by what appeared to be a storm of a song in a live setting. So: Vertigo! In fact I think Vertigo is the best Rock and Roll Song ever.

let's not get carried away!

Elevation is probably my favorite U2 music video though.

It's my favorite U2 rocker for sure.

I was spell blinded when they played it at my NJ show.

Only show to NOT feature The Fly after it's resurrection?  Philly.  Who went to Philly?  This guy.

Yes, but we did get the original version of Magnificent. Which was, I think, the last time it was played on 360. I heard the really bad Magnificent remix in Denver.

And I heard Magnificent not at all!  ???

The more I hear Magnificent, the more I think it should have been the lead single. Then NLOTH, then MOS, then Breathe.

Vertigo. One of the best hooks the band has ever had, much better lyrics than the other two songs, and such a shocker when it came out.

Oh, I agree. Those are my favorite songs. (Well, I love Stand Up Comedy too.)

They aren't necessarily my favorites, but what I think would have worked for airplay. Afther these 4, you could have thrown in GOYB or IGC or SUC or even Cedars. I still love UC too.  :)

How does Magnificent stand out as lead single material?
