Liam Gallagher!? Yer joking aren't yer? I saw Oasis live and it did nothing to dispel my belief that they are/were one of the most over rated bands ever. Liam Gallagher seemed to think acting like an arrogant thug was somehow rock n roll when all it did was make him look like a clown. Totally unoriginal and nowhere near any list of great front men.

I dislike Liam, but Noel is one of my favorite artists.

I got in from the pub a few months ago and there was an Oasis gig on the tv. Some football ground in Manchester. Anyway, I thought I'd give Oasis a chance to see if they were any good live as their records are so unbelievably sh**. So I watched a bit of it. I have never seen a less engaging front man. Apart from being a complete tit, he just wasn't interesting as an entertainer.

Bono's pretty good but he's not the best by some margin. Freddies a possibility. Bowie too. Robert Plant in the LZ days. The most entertaining gig I ever went to was Public Enemy at the Reading Festival.

Bowie's great, but I don't think you can rank him above Mercury or even Jagger.

yeah, I can. easily.

And what's your argument for this? Not to pick a fight, I'm truly curious. Based off of the footage I've seen of all three from concerts, I'm not sure how Bowie could compare to Jagger, much less Mercury.

I personally think Anthony Kiedis gets way too much hassle as a frontman. I know, the other band members have a lot more talent than him, but I think he's a good frontman. Not saying he's anywhere near one of the best though.

Bono is up there for sure, but no one beats Freddie Mercury.

Mick Jagger. And he's still doing it. Bono would be in my Top 10.

Liam would be in my Top 100.

Wow, that list is full of BS. How in the world can you rank Plant and Springsteen so low? And Gallagher above Mercury? And Jagger 13th? I knew Q was full of crap, but I never knew they were that biased/deluded about music.

I think he is the greatest. I'm just thinking back about ZooTV, Popmart, and "The Fly" at Boston, and I can't believe that Liam (or anyone else) could top what Bono is and what he has done; most times that I've seen Liam he was just leaned forward with his hands behind his back.

That's about it.  Ian Brown is the original monkey, anyway.

I'm not a great fan of Queen but Freddie is the only other frontman I don't mind coming out ahead of Bono in polls. I love Bowie but just don't see him in that role as he's more a solo artist anyway.

I love Liam. but he's not close to the top. Noel would be MUCH higher IMO

probably Mercury. maybe Bono. more of an opinion than a fact

i could listen to Noel do a spoken word tour. He's a funny dude.

"yes i controlled Oasis. i controlled them all the way to Wembley and Knebworth. You're welcome"

Pure.Noel.
