What type of Stadium is best for concerts

Ive seen U2 and coldplay at Wembley, I was right at the back for coldplay but the atmosphere was still amazing! Theres nothing wrong with playing big venues, as long as you have the right crowd

The problem with Arena shows is, the lack of being able to meet demand. In Uk...it would take runs of 5-6 nights in our indoor venues to be able to cater for the same amount of fans one stadium show would. Arena shows i think leave a lot of dissapointed fans with no tickets

I couldn't get a tic to the first 360 show in my city when they were first released, because they sold out the entire stadium (53.000 tickets) in a bit over half an hour. So with the same speed, it would be virtually impossible to get tics to an arena show with only 9000 tickets - those would sell out within minutes.

Small stadiums like Sheffield would seem nice to see them play in.

Aren't many U.S. arenas capable of housing 20,000-30,000? Not sure how it is in other countries, but that's how it is here. Still, I think those would go quick if U2 plays arenas again.

I know what you're talking about, though. The first '09 Chicago show in 360 sold out so fast that I had to wait for them to add a second night and managed to get those. Even those were tough to get with Ticketmaster crashing/screwing me out of better seats than what I got.

The biggest U.S. arenas (in Charlotte and Chicago, I believe) put around 23,000 in the stands. add another couple of thousand in GA/main floor seating and you're probably peaking out at a bit over 25k when you have 360o degree seating.

Here in the Detroit area, the Palace seats just under 22,100 and Joe Louis Arena is a bit over 19,000. Not counting GA/floor seating in either place, obviously.
