You gotta love sport sometimes.
At the weekend, the godlike genius bighead who can do no wrong that is Tom Brady goes to slide after a run. Quite obviously it is a very dangerous play as he goes in high and tries to connect with Ed Reeds thigh and injure him. At the time, the referees missed the challenge (everyone else watching saw it), there was no remorse shown by Brady and to his credit, Ed Reed did not retaliate. A few days later, knowing he is in trouble and tries to 'soften' and 'influence' his impending punishment, Brady apologizes to Reed. The NFL take the bait and only fine him $10,000 for unsportsmanlike-like conduct.
My point. You get a bigger fine for having short socks than you do for dangerous and despicable play.
Frank Gore (San Francisco's running back) is fined $10,500 for wearing his socks too low in the other Championship Game.
