Here's the bottom line, if the lights hadn't gone out, SF lights were. The fact that they did made it a much more exciting, heart attack inducing game. Done.

One question I have is why wasn't the Ravens CB Williams ejected from the game when he shoved the official during the scrum in the first half? First time in football i've ever seen a player put his hands on an official and not get penalized/ejected. Mike Pereira who was the head of NFL officiating for years said it should have been an automatic ejection.

It's the Super Bowl? Emotions were high? Ref was out of line? I don't know...

Definitely a different, escalated level of play at a super bowl...

^Did you mean the beginning? Ravens ran out of the tunnel to Streets! :) I don't know what song SF ran out to, didn't recognize it.

Yeah, I meant the beginning.

+2. It's what he gets for being a Niners fan. Almost as bad as being a Pats fan!  ;) JK we love you JT and OAP!

And I'd like to say Congrats to the Ravens, you deserved it!

And for next season...here's all the Seahawks have to say about 2013/14... 8)

Here's the bottom line (from Matt Birk and Torry Smith)

"It affected both teams"
"It was no big deal"
"It didn't make a difference"

Seahawks will be the only real threat to the 49ers going back next year.

So the rules are different in the superbowl i guess ?

Really ?

just another example of the incompetence of this crew.

Here's the deal as of this am and the commentators ALL discussing that last offensive run by SF. All the former PLAYERS, including those who played Crabtree's WR position, said you NEVER INITIATE CONTACT as a WR and that's what Crabtree did. The pundits who haven't played the game are the ones who have a problem with it, not the players. Plus, the Ravens forced them into the Casino Blitz and the entire drive was poorly executed including that last 4th down throw which was thrown out of bounds...

IF the call had been made, it would have been holding not interference and they would have been on the 2.5 yd line and goal. The way they poorly executed that last drive, could very well have been the same outcome.

Irishfree - we are trying to figure out the best way to get into the city tomorrow - parade or straight to the stadium. Are you going?

Sadly no, I won't be going.  I have to take care of my mom.  But, I will be watching it on tv.
