"Clawfest" in Vegas July 14, 2012

This event is a reunion of U2 fans who have met all over the World at U2 shows on the 360 World tour and previous tours.
 2 amazing U2 Tribute bands (U2JT and Elevation Canada) will perform at The Hard Rock Cafe so everyone is welcome to join the reunion, even if you don't know any of us! Celebrate the most amazing tour with a bunch of die hard U2 fans!

probably a bit of a trek. Made the trip to vegas for the show but don't know that a cover band is enough to get a leave pass...

Here is a little update on the event. On Saturday night July 14th at the Hard Rock on The Strip, Elevation will be playing Achtung Baby album and we will be doing The Joshua Tree. Both bands will also do a more U2 hits in addition to the albums. This part of the event will be open to the public.

After the show, there will be a private after-party just for Clawfest attendees. There we will be playing all the obscure U2 songs we all want to hear. We will be doing voting for this at some point soon. Both bands will be a part of this. We'll probably even do some mixing of bands to create the new International Super Group "Elevation Tree!" Anyhow....it's going to be fun hanging with U2 peeps, played and hearing songs like Twilight, Heartland and A Sort of Homecoming. It's going to be up to all of you attending to decide!!!

I dont think there is anything formally planning for Friday night in an effort to help keep costs down. However, there are some good pubs in there area that I'm sure we'll end up all meeting up at.

If anyone needs any advice on hotels, food, etc., feel free to hit me up.

You should just come anyways...just to see your fellow fans and partake in the debauchery.
And these bands are both amazing, they will play really rare songs!
Get a hall pass, make it so.

this sounds so incredibly fun (AND the fact that a long-lost pal, hj, started the thread makes it sound all that much cooler!)

so bummed that there are too many miles and not enough cash or time for me to join in   oh well... NEXT TIME!
