Songs you want U2 to cover in concert
« on: May 03, 2012, 11:43:15 AM »
I think they should do some Michael Jackson. Not kidding. I listen to Dirty Diana and Give in to Me and always think it'd be awesome for U2 to burst out a cover of either of them in concert one time. I know they snippeted some of his stuff shortly after his death but they never did a full song to my knowledge.

"Diamond Dogs" - David Bowie. It would pair up very well with HMTMKMKM.

I know they did a mash up of it with Desire, but doing a full version of Bruce's She's The One would be great!!

Wish I could've seen 'The Ballad Of Springhill' when they did it.

I honestly don't think U2 are very good at covers, so I'd rather they just stick to snippets.

Same.  Not that I don't think they aren't very good at covers, it's just that I'd rather see them play a U2 song than someone else's song

I'd love for them to bust out Night and Day randomly in a concert. It's their best cover, easily.

This. U2 are just not the type of band that tends to be great at covers, though they have some gems out there. (E.G. Can't Help Fallin In Love- and that's mostly about Bono's voice)

It would be fine with me if they played full versions of "Night And Day", "Satellite Of Love", "The Saints Are Coming" and "Everlasting Love" in concert - once in a while.

I find this whole snippet business to be rather odd, I must say. They have enough great material of their own to last a whole show.

It's a song you might know, it's from a great experimental band, it's called MOFO

The Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga.  What a hoot that would be with Bono singing to The Edge! ;D
