"No Line On The Horizon" belongs to Adam.
Adam owns this album competely. There is no disputing that this album is his finest to date in my opinion. Magnificent is one of his best basslines ever and he follows that up with even more fantastic displays of skill. Moment Of Surrender, Crazy Tonight, Boots, Stand Up, Fez, Cedars; all displays of Adam Clayton at his absolute best. This album is maxed out with funky basslines and is, by far, the most impressive from Adam. Edge's guitar is, once again, ripping it up with some great riffs and solos. His riffs on this album are much more prominent than on any other album. Magnificent, Boots, Stand Up Comedy and Breathe are all fantastic examples of Edge at his best. The solos in Unknown Caller and Breathe are some of his finest also. And let's not discount Crazy Tonight and Magnificent for some good short solos either. With solid backing vocals compiled with great guitar playing, NLOTH is one of Edge's ultimate albums. Bono is at his shoutiest best here too. No Line, Moment Of Surrender, Crazy Tonight, Boots, Stand Up Comedy, Fez and Breathe all see Bono in his element. White As Snow is, perhaps, his greatest moment on this album though, with a hauntingly soft vocal. Larry is on a par with his early 80's material on this album. NLOTH, Boots, Stand Up Comedy and Breathe are all worthy of being some of Larry best work to date, with Breathe possibly being his best performance here.
