If U2 co-headlined a tour
« on: May 13, 2012, 05:03:39 PM »
U2 decides to do a co-headlining tour.   We all know you'd rather they not, but they will still give a two-hour performance and their co-headliner will also give a two-hour performance.  Who would you rather have, and if not listed, then who?

off of that list, Bowie by far...but I'd really prefer Muse.

or Tool.

or Rush.

or NIN.

Geen Day, Coldplay, and Pearl Jam wouldn't get the co-headlining slot, they'd be the back up band.

So out of Bowie or Springsteen, both are great, but the Boss is the best live performer i've ever seen so i'll go with Springsteen.

Considering Oasis opened for U2 at the height of their popularity and so did Pearl Jam, I think Coldplay would open for them for a show or 2 (definately not a whole tour)

Oasis opened for U2 in America. In a rare show of common sense, Americans didn't like Oasis so it's not really the same thing. In the UK Oasis were massive at the time though.

Coldplay and U2 co-headlining would be a dream made in heaven. An intimate and passionate experience for both bands.

It's been almost 15 years since I last saw him, but he may be THE best performer I've ever seen.

In America U2 can play stadiums, Coldplay plays arena's. So for an American show in a stadium Coldplay would do the same as Oasis and be the opener.

^ Exactly, So Cruel. No way would U2 be the openers for Coldplay. They're far too big for that.

We've been through this before - Coldplay choose to play arenas. They could play stadiums if they wanted to. For Coldplay it's all about choice.

Yep, absolutely. It wouldn't surprise me if in some places they would sell out faster than U2 if they did. Coldplay just seems to like that more intimate feeling that you can only get in arenas.

Intimate and passionate - just how Coldplay like it
