What is the meaning of No Line on the Horizon (song)?
« on: May 16, 2012, 07:22:01 AM »
I understand at least most of the rest of the album, but No Line is a little bit harder. I know it somehow has something to do with everything blending together, but I can't see how. Anybody know?

It's a reference to an uncertain future. Although unintended, the band could apply this idea to their own career.

I take it as a song about a desire to start anew. To abandon comfort and familiarity and seek adventure elsewhere. The narrator is stuck in a repetitive job, when he meets a wilder woman who imparts her world philosophy to him before apparently disappearing. This inspires him to leave his old life behind and venture into an unknown world.
