It sounds good. Vocally, Bono sounds good though maybe a little offkey in a couple of spots (mostly at the beginning). If this is the direction they're headed in, it should be a really good/possibly great new CD.

Also, the site gives a few possible titles for songs on the new CD:

That's of course roughly translated by Google, so things may be a little off for the titles. If I had to guess, maybe that clip is from Kaleidoscope Birthday? I don't know, but something about the melody/rough lyrics just seems to fit with that title.

Hmmm, growing on me already....However, if it is indeed Songs of Ascent material, I can see why they didn't end up releasing it while the 360 tour was happening. Doesn't seem to be the kind of music that would connect with a stadium of 80,000 plus people. An arena of 20,000 people though....

the 2nd clip is in Bongolese, a few of their songs started out that way before the lyrics came to him.

Interesting, but who knows where it is from or when? It may have been shelved years ago. Its been nearly eight years since I heard Mercy in November 2004 and that song has still not been released on any album or even as a single. Makes you wonder how much material they have built up now? What a treat it would be if we were to receive a new U2 album every November for the next several years.

The music in the second clip sounds a bit like Luminous Times, but both of these clips definitely sound like they belong to the Songs of Ascent sessions or something.  Shows that the band hasn't totally dumped the idea yet...IF these clips are authentic

It seems fine, but not really enough to judge much from. And I have to disagree with the consensus on Bono's voice; it's certainly not awful, but no way is that voice fit for release yet; way too raspy.

It sounds like some outtakes from Atomic Bomb or maybe pre-Horizon writing sessions to me. They sound like very early ideas too, there's no real musical identity just some vague "phoned in" pillowing of instruments. No guitar hook, no piano hook.
Bono's voice sounded a lot better than this recently, so I guess these are not that new, at least I hope. Reminds me of the atmospheric pre Bomb songs, like Mercy and Smile.

I would like to hear more of course.

The vocals are quite raw, which is quite reminiscent of the early Bomb sessions so I think you may be onto something there SD. But it could also be what Bono sounds like shortly after finishing a tour so I guess they could be more recent than that. I wonder where the clips actually surfaced from.

...hmmm...maybe something for the U2 fans, but it's not gonna get much attention otherwise
