The Exile:
Hmm. I am quite skeptical, I will admit....

JamietheEdgefan:
It's typical Bono hyperbole. It's still nice to hear, but i don't see how it's any different from Edge being on fire. And if they are still only at the songwriting stage, i think that could be confirmation that they haven't progressed particularly far yet, i.e. aiming for 2013, not 2012 (as many of us suspected). Plus, everything he mentions is vague, as if they haven't really made anything definable yet.
Still, it's cool to hear him discuss what's happening in the studio!

miami:
i watched the show as it happened and was very happy with what bono said, it's great to see they're actually in the studio. bono came across very well, especially in comparison to liam neeson, twink, tommy tiernan and sinead o'connor, with the first three being absolutely sozzled on booze, and o'connor being her usual bonkers self after she absolutely murdered her own hit 'nothing compares to you'.

bono said it's the best time they've had in the studio since 1979. great to hear they're enjoying it as i was getting a bit worried, so things seem to be boding well for the future.

satellitedog01:
This is just Bono speaking...

dirtdrybonesandstone:
This is a positive step forward.    If this is indeed the case, a 2013 studio release is possible.   I wonder if they're not just working on something for a best-of release though.
