I think it would have been a much better release had they not mixed in the crowd noise throughout.

Yeah some of the crowd noise seems a little fake... like WAIA... That's really my only complaint, though.

Acht in a way its kind of like UABRS dont you think? And thats pretty darn amazing!

Well, I lost some of my love for UABRS when I figured out that not all the songs were actually from the Red Rocks show. :( I still love the release, though; it's a great collection of live songs from the War Tour. They should have marketed it that way instead of pretending it was the live audio from Red Rocks.

That said, the UABRS video (especially the re-release DVD) is phenomenal. I wish I'd been at that show! I was only 8 years old, though, in 1983.

I was 14 and I too wish I'd been there. As you say I know all the songs werent from Red Rocks but still think its a great live record.

This is true. But I love the version of 11 O'Clock Tick Tock from the actual Red Rocks performance so much better than the one they put on the CD. There was a Drowning Man snippet in it!! AAAAHHH. And Bono says, "Will you dance with me?!" And that girl gets on stage...

I joined U2.COM today which means my copy of U22 is on its way over to me as I type this.

I'll update the situation when I've got my hands on it  ;)
