Crystal Ballroom: Human toes are what we leave behind.  ???

It's really "the human story is what love leaves behind". Apparently. I never hear that.  ;D

I like your line better !  ;D

A couple of mine--"ISHFWILF: "I have kissed haunted lips" (been singing this for 27 yrs, only found out the correct verse last yr!)

"Morleigh, you tea, you toast, you sugar" (I suspect I'm not the only one who  made this mistake)

whats the 2nd one from?

ISHF - "i have spoke with a ton of angels"
This.

The second quote is from Sleep like a baby tonight. And yes, I also heard "Morleigh" in there.

While watching ISHFWILF video with subtitles on, friend says, "Well I've had that one wrong."
Actual line, "I have spoke with the tongue of angels."
Friend thought, "I have spoke with a tonne of angels."

Ha ha .... nothing wrong with some good friends to talk to !

I think actually  could be "Morleigh."  I know the lyric sheet says different.
For whatever reason...including there was a song "Moreleigh's Song" that they recorded and dropped..

"Through light projected he can see himself up close"

I heard this as:
'Through a light projection he can see himself up above'

In Zooropa I thought he said you have the rations to get you though the night instead of the right shoes.

When I was young, I used to think the end of Another Time Another Place was "Lemon Cheesecake Gourmet", like it was some kind of clandestine teenage party Bono had been to.....

At first, I felt pretty certain that Bono was singing "the world you cannot save" rather than "the words you cannot say" in The Little Things That Give You Away.
