U2 > The Music
Why no digital option for U22?
ScotK:
When I first heard about U22 I was happy about it and wondered why they hadn't done this in the past. They have always released DVDs, but never a live tour CD. I would not say I am dissatisfied with U22 as many others have expressed; but I do think it could have been better.
Is it a nice addition to my U2 collection....yes?
The fans have questions and just want some answers....I can't fault them for that. I also understand your point of not wanting to pay the fanclub fee. But from my view, the $50 that includes access to presale concert tix and fanclub only releases, such as U22, it was money well spent.

That's fair. I joined once, to get access to the presale for the Vertigo tour, way back. That resulted in 300-level seats. After that, I figured there was no point in joining for that purpose, since my seats were about as bad as they would have been without joining. The CDs have occasionally looked interesting, but have never seemed essential, including remixes, audio rips from DVDs, and collections of stuff I mostly already have.
ScotK:
I should correct myself. Hasta la Vista Baby was a less than full show released from the Pop Tour.
I'd like to get access to that U2 Love CD that has the live songs from the Ppoinbt Depot shows back in 1989. I know it's on some deluxe boxed set, but I don't want to all the other stuff I already have just to get that. I'd gladly pay for a lot of their outtakes, b-sides and live stuff if they posted them on u2.com or I-tunes....but they don't. I don't have Stingray Guitar, Mercy...etc.
