What do you think of 'Gone'?
Gone:
My username is Gone, and the song happens to be one of my lasting favorites and my current favorite. If you came to that assumption before reading this, excellent. Here are a couple of questions for you:
So, what do you think of Pop's Gone?
Do you think Gone could battle today's popular music and chart? Or would it tank?

It would tank because it's too awesome to be on pop radio right now. It's one of my favourite songs on Pop... Great bass line, great guitar, I really like it!

Gone is great. I like original album version best but don't skip past the "best of" mix when it comes up on the iPod either. Compared to much of the new stuff on the radio today though, Gone seems plodding and old-fashioned in its composition. Rockish songs that are getting the most airplay in my area are short, bouncy, and simple. Those tunes can be fun, but there's not much to them after a listen or two.
