There's only been one song that I was truly mystified as to why it was not released as a single.

Do You Feel Loved.

Can somebody educate me on why this song did not get more attention?  It's an extremely catchy and I thought it was perfect for radio.

Bono has said the song was difficult for him to sing live. If true, that's likely the reason. That's why the single release of the stunning Red Hill Mining Town was cancelled too.

I literally must have listened to Red Hill 10,000 times, named my dog after it, etc.    I think it was the weight, and sequence, of Running to Stand Still, Red Hill.., In Gods Country, and Trip Through Your Wire that make TJT one of the best rock compilations EVER.

Don't forget, when the album was released, RTSS and RHMT closed side one and you had to turn the record over to play IGC and TTYW on side two.
I bought the CD.  I tried flipping it over, but it doesn't work like that.

Most of them don't.

Then you're not doing it right.  Try again until you get it right.

The only ones I've noticed that it works on is Muse's Resistance and Sheryl Crow's The Globe Sessions.   But even then, it plays everything backwards and in reverse order, and while the backwards thing isn't a problem, I definitely can't handle changes in track order.

Do You Feel Loved had everything to be a popular song to me. But then again, the way U2 was looked at when releasing Pop probably had something to do with why it wasn't.
