From The Ground Up - 2012/2013 subscriber package

Am I right in thinking everyone received U22/ZooTV CD first and then a big gap before From The Ground Up arrived? I'm about 30 miles from the distribution centre for Europe but still not getting the second part of my gift any quicker.

I got them under separate subscriptions so there was a gap but were ordered separately (if that makes sense)

My confirmation mail was on the 21st December

I subscribed for the first time on 16th December and got my U22 and ZOOTV today. Strangely it came from the USA and I'm the UK. I was under the impression UK orders came from London.

My package had also been split open but had been taped up by Royal Mail, so it made it from the USA without ZOOTV falling out!

Can't wait for From The Ground Up!

Got my From The Ground Up re-subscribe package yesterday in Australia. Good job U2.com. The book is awesome.

Received From the Ground Up today.  Shipment confirmation was 12/28/12.  Thanks to all for the warning about the stuck photos.  I very carefully got Adam & Edge out first (they are the middle pictures).  Larry is the last picture and it was stuck only where Bono's picture didn't completely overlay it.  Bono's photo was definitely stuck to the adhesive that was supposed to glue together the jacket making the sleeve for the photos.  I used a sharp object to pry it open but still got a torn area.  Looks like a great book!

If you read the jacket of the u2.com version, Terry Lawless is credited for "Pride", which isn't on the CD.... at some point, an alternate, longer track listing was prepared and mixed : however it was then edited to the 15 track CD. Also, if you listen to the finished audio mixes of the download songs, they aren't finished masters (the volume/EQ and production isn't quite as polished as the CD), so they probably created

a) final mixes of the 20+ songs originally intended for this record
b) edited down to 15 songs and created a finished CD master with new EQ

Primarily, if you want to splice the download songs back in, be prepared for a quality drop and some brutal edits unless you go in and blend the tracks across each other.

I got mine today. Shipping email was Dec. 27.

I also had the same problem with the packaging; the side of the Bono picture was pretty much glued down, so I couldn't get it out without tearing the corner a bit. It's mostly intact, though, so I'm still happy.

Finally received mine yesterday. I resubscribed on 11/24 and got my email confirmation last Friday.

Great package. Well worth every bit of $40. The book is amazing and luckily I didn't have any glue problems. The CD is fantastic and it's always good having another live U2 CD. I wish they'd do more a-la Dave Matthews Band. I never get tired of hearing them live.
