I'd either have Thunder Road or Terry's Song played at mine, both of them by Springsteen.

I'd like:

Purple Rain - Prince
Look On Down From The Bridge - Mazzy Starr
'Intermezzo' from Cavalleria Rusticana
Abide With Me - Trad Hymn.

For my funeral I think MLK would work well. Blood Brothers by Springsteen for how I feel about my brothers and friends. Probably One for my wife and daughter, even though it's a bitter love song, I think the ending (One life, you got to do what you should) and (We get to carry each other) is a strong message of love and to be strong and carry on.

Now for when I enter the gates of heaven, I want God's trumpets blasting either the coda to Thunder Road (Springsteen) or the bridge before the solo in Stairway to Heaven (Led Zep). I will let God himself make the choice and in the likely hood that Springsteen and the Led Zep members will have passed on long before me, maybe God could convince them to play along with heavens band.

Stairway to Heaven (at 6:09 mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q7Vr3yQYWQ
Thunder Road (at 5:03 mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDyVQFTNrj4

No music. I expect my funeral to be nothing but sobbing and rending of clothing.

probably something without vocals..."Take Five" by Dave Brubeck, or some classical pieces.

at least that's how I feel at the moment.
